Dr. Workman graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biomedical science from the University of New Hampshire before going on to complete his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency training in ophthalmology at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania, one of the nation’s leading academic health systems, where he served as chief resident and developed a broad surgical skill set. He is now proud to return to his home state to serve the communities of New Hampshire.

Dr. Workman is a board-eligible comprehensive ophthalmologist who focuses on cataract surgery, glaucoma including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and medical retina. He is a member of both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He offers the full spectrum of intraocular lens options, including multifocal lenses for reduced dependence on glasses and astigmatism correction. He works closely with each patient to match the right lens technology to their individual visual goals and lifestyle needs.

During his residency at Geisinger Medical Center, Dr. Workman became the first surgeon in the Geisinger Health System to implant the IC-8 Apthera small aperture lens, bringing a novel option to patients who were previously considered poor candidates for premium cataract surgery due to corneal scarring or irregular astigmatism. He joins Coastal Surgical Center from Laconia Eye Associates, bringing valuable experience and a dedication to providing outstanding eye care.

We are thrilled to welcome them to our team

Outside of medicine, Dr Workman enjoys outdoor pursuits that make New Hampshire home — including hitting the slopes in winter, hiking with his wife Ashley and goldendoodle “moose”, and tackling home improvement projects.
